Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how JK FieldOps handles personal information associated with its website, demo requests, customer accounts, application, support, and related business operations.

Effective: September 17, 2026

1. Scope and relationship

This Privacy Policy applies to JK FieldOps websites, demo requests, customer accounts, the JK FieldOps application, support interactions, and related services. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that JK FieldOps does not control.

When a customer organization uses JK FieldOps to process personal information contained in its own operational records, that organization generally determines why and how the information is used. To the extent applicable privacy law distinguishes between a controller/business and a processor/service provider, JK FieldOps generally acts as the processor or service provider for that Customer Data unless the circumstances require otherwise.

Authorized users who have questions about Customer Data controlled by their employer or contracting organization should generally contact that organization first.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

We may collect names, company names, work email addresses, phone numbers if provided, demo-request details, support messages, billing contacts, account information, and other information you choose to provide.

Account and organization information

We may collect user names, email addresses, organization and company relationships, project associations, roles, permissions, account status, authentication events, and administrative records.

Customer-provided operational data

Customers may upload or create tickets, images, PDFs, spreadsheets, project records, contractor information, reconciliation records, payment and payout records, agreements, equipment information, and other business records. These records may contain personal information selected by the customer.

Usage, device, and security information

We may collect IP addresses, timestamps, browser or device information, login and security events, pages or functions used, request metadata, error records, performance data, and audit logs where reasonably necessary to operate, protect, diagnose, and improve the service.

Information from service providers and business partners

We may receive limited information from vendors and service providers used to operate, support, secure, communicate about, administer, or maintain JK FieldOps.

3. How we use information

We may use information to:

  • provide, host, maintain, administer, and support JK FieldOps;
  • create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and enforce permissions;
  • process and present Customer Data and provide requested Service features as directed by authorized users;
  • communicate about demos, support, security, service changes, billing, and customer relationships;
  • measure usage and prepare billing or invoices where applicable;
  • detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to misuse, fraud, errors, security events, or technical problems;
  • maintain audit, accounting, tax, legal, and business records;
  • improve product workflows, reliability, performance, usability, and support; and
  • comply with law, legal process, and contractual obligations and protect legal rights.

4. Customer Data and customer responsibilities

Customers retain ownership of Customer Data. Customers authorize JK FieldOps to process Customer Data as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, support, troubleshoot, back up, and improve the service; follow authorized instructions; and comply with applicable law.

Customers are responsible for determining whether they have a lawful basis and necessary notices, permissions, or consents to collect and upload personal information, including information about employees, subcontractors, drivers, vendors, primes, monitors, customers, property owners, or other individuals.

JK FieldOps does not sell Customer Data or use Customer Data for third-party behavioral advertising.

5. How information may be disclosed

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. To vendors and service providers that help JK FieldOps operate, support, secure, administer, communicate about, or bill for the Service.
  • Customer-authorized access. To users, organizations, companies, or other parties when the customer configures, requests, or authorizes that access.
  • Legal and safety reasons. When reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, enforce agreements, investigate fraud or abuse, protect rights or property, or address a threat to safety or security.
  • Business transactions. In connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations where applicable.
  • With consent or direction. When the relevant customer or individual directs or authorizes the disclosure.

We do not disclose Customer Data to third parties for their independent direct-marketing or behavioral-advertising purposes.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

JK FieldOps may use cookies and similar technologies that are reasonably necessary for authentication, security, preferences, functionality, abuse prevention, and service operation. We may also use limited diagnostic or analytics technologies where reasonably necessary to understand service performance and usage.

Browser settings may allow you to restrict some technologies, but blocking items required for authentication, security, or core functionality can prevent parts of the Service from working correctly. JK FieldOps does not currently use Customer Data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Sensitive and specially regulated information

Unless specifically agreed in writing, JK FieldOps is not intended to function as a dedicated system for storing payment-card credentials, protected health information, consumer credit-reporting data, biometric templates, classified information, export-controlled technical data, authentication secrets, private keys, or other categories that carry specialized regulatory or security obligations.

Customers should avoid uploading highly sensitive information that is not necessary for the intended business workflow. If a customer chooses to upload regulated or sensitive information without a written agreement addressing that use, the customer remains responsible for determining whether doing so is lawful and appropriate.

8. Retention, export, and deletion

We may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the Service, maintain operational and security records, complete billing and accounting, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations, and maintain legitimate business records.

Retention periods can differ by data type and purpose. Customer Data may remain for a reasonable period after account termination unless a written agreement specifies a different period. Retained copies, logs, invoices, security records, and legally required records may remain longer.

Deletion requests are subject to verification of identity and authority and may be limited where retention is required or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal claims, accounting, contractual obligations, service continuity, or compliance with law.

9. Security

JK FieldOps uses administrative, technical, and operational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No method of handling, transmitting, storing, or protecting information can provide absolute security.

For additional information, see Security & Data.

10. Privacy requests and rights

Depending on applicable law and your relationship with JK FieldOps, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing.

JK FieldOps may require reasonable verification of identity, authority, and the applicable customer relationship before acting on a request. Where JK FieldOps processes information on behalf of a customer organization, we may direct the request to that customer or assist the customer in responding as appropriate.

We may deny or limit requests where permitted or required by law, including where information must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal claims, accounting, contractual obligations, or other lawful purposes.

11. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising

JK FieldOps does not sell personal information for money and does not sell Customer Data. JK FieldOps does not use Customer Data for third-party targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.

If our practices materially change in a way that creates additional rights under applicable law, we will update this policy and provide any notices or choices required by that law.

12. Location of processing

JK FieldOps is operated from the United States. Information may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations used by service providers. Where applicable law requires safeguards for cross-border transfers, JK FieldOps will use a lawful transfer mechanism appropriate to the circumstances.

13. Business service; children

JK FieldOps is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children under 13. Customers are responsible for the information they choose to include in their own business records.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service, business, vendors, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.

15. Contact

Privacy questions or requests may be sent to contact@jkfieldops.com. Please do not send passwords, private keys, or unnecessary sensitive information in an initial request.
