08 / Equipment

Track trucks and certifications.

Record trucks and equipment with each project’s certification number, placard, and document.

Equipment & placards

Keep each truck with its placard and its capacity.

Record your trucks and equipment once. Then add them to each job with the placard or certificate number, the certified capacity, and the document that job gave them.

Record the equipment once.

Haul trucks, cut machines, bucket trucks, trailers, and support equipment, each under your own unit ID. VIN, make, model, year, serial number, and license plate are there when you need them.

Add it to each job.

Enter the placard or certificate number and the certified cubic yards the job assigned, and keep the placard or certificate document with it. The same truck can have a different number and capacity on each job.

Use it on the tickets.

Choose a truck on a haul ticket and its certified capacity for that job fills in. The truck number printed on the ticket is kept as written.

Placard checks

Catch the same placard on two trucks.

When two trucks on the same job carry the same placard number, the job's equipment marks it for verification instead of guessing which truck did the work.

See the conflict.

Both trucks show “Placard conflict — verification needed” until someone checks them.

Record a real duplicate.

A monitoring firm sometimes issues the same placard twice. Once it is checked, record it as a verified duplicate and keep working.

Retire a truck without losing its history.

Remove a truck from a job when it leaves. Its placard and ticket history stay, and it is no longer offered for new tickets.

The equipment register is for the office. Owners, administrators, management, and office users see each job's equipment. Field users don't see the register.
