Organized around who hired whom
A project owner such as a municipality or state agency hires the prime contractor. The prime may hire subcontractors, who may hire their own. Each company in JK FieldOps tracks payment from the party that hired it and payment to the subcontractors it hired.
Receivables: what’s coming to you
| Recorded production value | $12,000 |
|---|---|
| Cash received and applied to tickets | $9,000 |
| Deduction | $500 |
| Recorded value not yet settled | $2,500 |
Payables: what you owe your subcontractors
Payables shows approved production, adjustments, the payment, its method and reference, and its status for each subcontractor you hired. Subcontractors see their own payments on their Payments page, and never payments to other subcontractors.

Closeout paperwork stays with the payment
- Keep subcontractor invoices, payment confirmations and signed lien releases with the related payout.
- Mark which payout documents are current.
- See which payment documents are missing before closeout.
Subcontractor agreements, signed and kept with the job
Send PDF agreements between contractor organizations for signature. Choose the sending and receiving companies, designate signers, and use signing order when the agreement requires it. Completed agreements are kept with their signing history instead of scattered across email.
What payment tracking doesn’t do
JK FieldOps doesn’t move money. You record payments and attach confirmations. It doesn’t send the money or check whether it reached a bank account.
